A record number of runners took to the streets for the sixth Run Sunderland Festival on May 1st 2016. Despite chilly and damp conditions, thousands of club and fun runners tackled the Siglion Sunderland City Half Marathon and 10K, which for the first time started and finished in Keel Square, a symbol of the city’s regeneration.

Congratulations to all of our finishers, we look forward to seeing you again in 2017!

With spectacular coastal views and a brilliant atmosphere, although we cannot guarantee the weather, we can guarantee a superbly organised event with plenty of support on the route and an army of enthusiastic volunteers to make it a great day for all taking part. All participants will receive a t shirt, medal and goody bag. There is also limited parking, baggage services and plenty of fun activities for those not taking part. Look out for 2017 entries opening soon!

Don’t miss out on joining us at our new home Keel Square, for charity, fun or fitness make sure you’re part of it!
